I’m about to take off on the first stage of a year+ of travel and working abroad. The first part will be a road trip to Vancouver, B.C., and since the weather has suddenly warmed up enough that even going through the mountains we probably won’t need snow tires. So I want to get them switched, and I saw that my dealer’s site now has live chat.

For anyone who didn’t spot them:
- Instead of answering my question, she switched to an unrelated offer. If you want to do that, at least answer the question first!
- Then she seemed to have forgotten that I’d asked a question!
- What is the point of customer service chat if it can’t actually do anything useful? Surely booking a tire change shouldn’t be beyond the abilities of the customer service department? Silo problem!
- I tried to click the box to enter their contest. Turns out, it wasn’t clickable!
