We did a research study earlier this year about how companies are handling the challenge of customer service on Twitter. The answer is, for most, not very well. Here are some actual examples of how leading brands responded to a simple plea for help, and analysis of what they did right and wrong.
The brands in these examples are the Canadian outlets of Home Depot, Canadian Tire, Grand & Toy, La Senza, Maple Music Recordings, Sears, Lee Valley, Long & McQuade, and Hudson’s Bay.
